Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Plan My Safar. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Plan My Safar mobile application, the website planmysafar.in, and every booking made through them (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account, browsing the Platform, or making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About us and definitions
- "Plan My Safar", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of the Platform.
- "You" and "traveller" refer to the person using the Platform or named in a booking.
- "Package" means a tour, holiday or travel package listed on the Platform.
- "Booking" means a confirmed reservation of a Package, identified by a booking number beginning with PMS.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Indian law to create an account or make a booking.
- Accounts are created and accessed with your Indian mobile number, verified by a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your device and OTPs secure; all activity under your account is treated as yours.
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information (name, contact details, traveller details) and to keep it updated.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, misuse the Platform, or breach these Terms.
3. Bookings
- A booking request is made by selecting a Package, a travel date and travellers, and completing payment. A booking is confirmed only when payment is successfully received and a booking number is issued.
- Traveller details (names, ages, contact information) must match valid government identification. Errors in traveller details may lead to denial of services by hotels, carriers or local operators, for which we are not responsible.
- Packages are subject to availability. If a Package becomes unavailable after payment, we will offer an alternative date, an alternative Package, or a full refund.
- The booking voucher (including its QR code) is required at check-in and must be presented on request. Vouchers are non-transferable.
- Each Package page lists inclusions, exclusions, itinerary and package-specific terms. Anything not expressly listed as included is excluded.
4. Pricing, taxes and payment
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise.
- The per-person price applies to each adult traveller. Where a discounted price is shown, the discounted price applies.
- Children (2–11 years) are charged the child price shown for the Package. Infants (0–2 years) are charged the infant price shown (often zero). Age is reckoned as on the travel date; travellers who exceed an age band by the travel date must be booked in the higher band.
- Taxes and fees shown at checkout are charged per booking and are included in the total amount payable.
- Promotional offer codes apply only where valid, within their validity window and usage limits, and reduce the total as displayed before payment. One offer per booking.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment gateway, supporting UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, wallets and EMI where available. We do not collect or store your card numbers, CVV or banking credentials — these are handled by Razorpay under its own terms and security certifications.
- A booking for which payment fails or is not completed remains unconfirmed and services are not reserved.
- Prices can change until payment is completed. Obvious pricing errors (for example a price that is clearly a mistake) entitle us to cancel the booking with a full refund.
5. Cancellations and changes
- Free cancellation window: most Packages can be cancelled free of charge up to the free-cancellation window shown on the Package page (typically 48 hours before the travel date; some destinations require 72–96 hours). Cancelling within the free window entitles you to a full refund.
- Inside the window: cancellations after the free-cancellation window may attract retention charges (typically the cost of one night or one day of services), and portions already utilised or committed to suppliers are non-refundable.
- No-show: failure to appear on the travel date without prior cancellation is treated as a cancellation with no refund.
- Changes: date changes and traveller changes are subject to availability and any fare or rate difference, and must be requested through support before the free-cancellation window closes.
- Cancellation by us: if we or our suppliers must cancel a departure (for example due to insufficient group size, safety concerns or supplier failure), you may choose a full refund or a free reschedule to an alternative date or Package of equivalent value.
- Force majeure: events beyond reasonable control — natural disasters, epidemics, government restrictions, strikes, civil unrest, extreme weather — may force itinerary changes or cancellation. In such cases we will refund whatever our suppliers refund to us and assist with rebooking, but we are not liable for costs beyond the amounts paid to us.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Travel documents, health and conduct
- You are responsible for carrying valid identification and, for international Packages, valid passports, visas, permits and health documents. We may assist with information but we do not guarantee visa issuance, and visa refusal is not grounds for a free cancellation outside the normal policy.
- You must assess your own fitness for the activities in a Package (for example trekking, water sports, high-altitude travel) and disclose relevant medical conditions where requested.
- You agree to behave lawfully and respectfully during the trip. Hotels, carriers and local operators may refuse service to travellers who are abusive, intoxicated or endanger others; such refusal is treated as a no-show without refund.
- Local laws of the destination apply to you during travel. Any fines, penalties or losses arising from your conduct are your responsibility.
7. Acceptable use of the Platform
You agree not to:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
- make speculative, false or fraudulent bookings, or bookings with stolen payment instruments;
- attempt to probe, disable, overload or interfere with the Platform or its security features, or access data not intended for you;
- scrape, copy, resell or commercially exploit Platform content without our written permission;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
8. Role of Plan My Safar and third-party suppliers
Packages are fulfilled with the help of third-party suppliers — hotels, transport operators, airlines, guides and activity providers. We select suppliers with care and coordinate your trip, but suppliers remain responsible for the services they deliver. Timings, vehicle and hotel assignments, and itinerary order may be adjusted for operational reasons while preserving the overall Package content.
9. Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid to us for that booking.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost earnings, missed connections booked outside the Package, disappointment), or for delay or non-performance caused by force majeure or by acts or omissions of third-party suppliers beyond our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud.
- We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and baggage for every trip.
10. Intellectual property
All content on the Platform — text, itineraries, photographs, logos, the Plan My Safar name and marks, and software — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by law. You may use it only to browse and book for personal, non-commercial purposes.
11. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You can request deletion of your account at any time from the app Settings or at planmysafar.in/delete — see our Account Deletion policy.
12. Communications
By creating an account you consent to receive transactional communications (OTPs, booking confirmations, payment receipts, trip updates) by SMS, push notification, email and WhatsApp where enabled. Promotional communications can be opted out of at any time without affecting transactional messages.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Platform at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and every booking made through the Platform, are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
