Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when a payment made on Plan My Safar is refundable, how much is refunded, and how and when the money reaches you. It works together with our Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation Policy shown on each package page.

1. Refund eligibility at a glance

2. What counts against the cancellation window

• The window is measured to the travel date of your booking, using the free-cancellation hours shown on the package page at the time of booking (default 48 hours).
• The cancellation takes effect when you complete it in the app (My Bookings → Cancel) or when our support team confirms your cancellation request — whichever happens first.

3. Non-refundable cases

The following are not refundable in any circumstance:

• No-shows on the travel date.
• Services voluntarily unused during the trip (skipped sightseeing, early checkout, missed transfers).
• Portions of a package already utilised at the time of cancellation.
• Refusal of service by a hotel, carrier or operator due to traveller misconduct, intoxication or breach of local law.
• Denial of boarding or entry due to missing or invalid travel documents (ID, passport, visa, health documents), which remain your responsibility.
• Offer-code discounts — refunds are calculated on the amount actually paid.
• Third-party costs you booked outside the package (for example flights you booked yourself).

4. How refunds are paid

• All refunds are made to the original payment method (the card, UPI ID, wallet or bank account used to pay), via our payment gateway Razorpay. We cannot redirect refunds to a different account.
• Approved refunds are initiated immediately on approval and typically reflect in your account within 5–7 business days. Some banks and card issuers take longer to post the credit; if a refund has not appeared after 10 business days, contact support with your booking number.
• You will receive a confirmation message when the refund is initiated.
• Where a partial refund applies, the calculation (amount paid, retention charges, refund due) is shared with you before processing.

5. Cancellations by Plan My Safar

If we must cancel your departure, we will inform you as early as possible and you may choose either a full refund of everything paid, or a free reschedule to an alternative date or an equivalent package. If the alternative you choose costs less, we refund the difference; if it costs more, you pay only the difference.

6. How to request a cancellation or refund

1. Open My Bookings in the app, select the booking and tap Cancel booking; or

Refund disputes are handled under the grievance process described in our Terms & Conditions and are governed by Indian law with jurisdiction at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
